Kim
Waters
Someone to love You
For years Waters was a staple on R
& B radio stations, but when the stations began to phase out instrumental
music he welcomed a musical challenge. After eight R & B-flavored albums
on Warlock Records he signed with Shanachie and set about developing a new
mode of expression. Working with several top producers including his labelmate,
guitarist Chuck Loeb, and composer/producer Dave Mann, Kim Waters has created
a new sound that builds on his roots. Waters, who’d previously composed,
performed and produced his previous eight albums on his own, welcomed the
chance to share creative ideas. "It was great," says the soft-spoken
artist, "because I had a chance to really breathe and have input from
other people."
